From the Tregare Street meeting point take Caerleon road in the direction of Caerleon.

At the Roundabout which is at Jubnction 25 of the M4 take the third exit (Right) to join the M4 in the direction of London.

At the next exit Junction 24 (Coldra) take the first exit (Left) onto the A449 signposted A449 & M50.

Continue on this road (Road number becomes A40) for approx 20 miles to Monmouth.

At Monmouth go straight on at traffic lights then all the way around the roundabout to double back to the traffic lights.

Turn Left at lights to cross river. Signposted Chepstow A466 & Forest of Dean A4136.

At mini roundabout take first exit (Straight on) signposted Forest of Dean A4136 & Mitcheldean.

At second mini roundabout take second exit (Straight On) to continue on A4136 up a long hill.

After approx. 2 miles, just after an entrance to a campsite on the right, & a sign saying “Welcome to the Forest of Dean.” There is a large layby on the left. Park here.
