Lat N51:55:35 (51.926326) Lon. W2:50:44 (-2.845592)

From the Tregare Street take Caerleon Road in the direction of Caerleon.

At the roundabout at the junction with the M4, take the first exit, (left), onto the link road with the A4042. At the Grove Park roundabout take the second exit, (right), and continue on this road, A4042, to Abergavenny.

At roundabout where A4042 meets Heads of the Valleys road take A465 in the direction of Hereford. Third exit from roundabout.

Follow this road for approx. 12 miles until you reach Pontrilas. You will pass under a railway bridge just before you enter village.

Just after this bridge turn RIGHT onto the B4347, signposted Monmouth & Kentchurch.

After about 200 yards you need to turn right to continue on the B4347, signposted Monmouth & Kentchurch. Do not take the Garway Hill road.

Continue through Kentchurch & pass the Bridge Inn on your right. Shortly after the pub, the road bends to the right near a house with a castellated top.

Where the B4347 road bears sharp right, do not follow this but instead follow the road straight ahead signposted Garway next to house with castellated top. Continue along this for approx ½ mile to right hand bend in road. Continue on this road (still signed Garway)  then right again to park along track opposite church.

The church ask for a donation of £1 per car.

Nice walk, but how do I get there?

Well you should go to the Tregare Street meeting point, be early we leave promptly. That way you can car share with others. But if you need instructions to get to the walk start point this page may be where you can find them.

A map reference, latitude and longitude for your sat. nav., a link to a map, or someone's helpful instructions. I’ve tried to make these directions correct. Apologies if they are not. All feedback will be welcome. Also if you follow the links to a map, you can zoom in or out, and change the map style to whichever you find easiest to read.
