From Newport take the M4 towards Bridgend (West).

Get off at exit 32 for the A470 to Merthyr Tydfil.

Once you are on the A470 get off at the 5th exit signposted for town centre & Ynys-Y-Bwl.

Stay in the left hand lane for town centre.

Follow the road around to the left, cross the bridge to the traffic lights, turn right for Ynysybwl.

Stay on this road for 3 miles, pass the Robertown Hotel on the left. 100 yards further on is the cenotaph, keep it on your left. Carry on and take the second turningon the right. Drive up to the barrier, turn around, and park here.

From Pontypool.

From Pontypool take the A472 road for Crumlin, then the road for Caerphilly.

When you get to Caerphilly take the road signposted for the A470 and Merthyr Tydfil.

Get on the A470 and head for Merthyr.

Get off at the 3rd exit signposted for town centre & Ynys-Y-Bwl.

Stay in the left hand lane for town centre.

Follow the road around to the left, cross the bridge to the traffic lights, turn right for Ynysybwl.
